Wrapped blue band and new letters

Any Hallberg-Rassy owner most likely recognizes the challenge ... 'how do I keep the blue band around the outside of the boat in the beautiful blue HR color?'

Especially as the boat gets older and is in the sun a lot, the blue color fades. We ourselves have struggled since 2017 (from 10 years old) to keep the blue band its beautiful blue color. Polishing twice a year certainly helps. But soon after that, fading spots appear. Very irritating, because the blue tire is a real eye-catcher as far as we are concerned.

So more is needed. Many boat owners choose to have the tire repainted. Others choose a blue wrap in the right blue HR color.
We chose a transparent wrap over the blue band from the teak edge where the railing sits to the bumper. It looks beautiful! According to the supplier, this is very sturdy wrap that can stay on like this for 10-15 years. We are going to experience it, but it looks very nice 😃😊👌.

We also changed the letters of the name right away. The old font (Times Roman italics) has a relatively large capital letter Q and therefore the other letters were a bit small. Also, the name was stuck a little crooked on one side. The new font (Palentino) has a nice graceful capital Q that is relatively a bit smaller so the other letters are larger. We are very happy with the result 😊😃.
