The rest of the spring in Bruinisse flies by. Toine goes to the office regularly but I still work completely from 'home'. Fortunately that works fine on the boat ☺️. Although it will be good for me to go to the office more often after the summer holidays. I spend a lot of hours in the same small space now and the contact with colleagues is limited. During the week we regularly go golfing or walking in the evenings. Once, when the weather was nice, we anchored off Stampersplaat for a midweek while we worked. That gives an enormous feeling of freedom.
De weekenden zijn gezellig met de meiden, familie of vrienden. Met Hemelvaart gaan we met de NoDoubt en Calanche naar Burghsluis en Zierikzee. Voor het eerst komen we van de Grevelingen af met een brug die eindelijk weer werkt. Een weekend met flink wat auto logistiek met de meiden en Toine die zondagochtend z’n eerste prik krijgt in Goes. We zitten voor het eerst weer eens op een terrasje, bij het Oliegeultje, hoe heerlijk is dat 😃.
Whitsun Sunday Inge and Mark sail with the kids for a day. That means sporty sailing and in between anchoring in the Hals to watch F1. Later in the harbor we have a delicious dinner with Canadian beef from the Kamadoe Joe and with ten people at the table inside. Yes Mark, that fits 😉 . A super cozy day 😃😊.
Whit Monday we visit Pieter and Eline and Pieter arranges a real Japanese dinner at Juliana's 👌👍👌.
That weekend I suffer from positional vertigo. Fortunately only when I am lying on my left side. After a couple of days it is completely gone. Could it have come from a night in a moving bed because of the strong wind from the side? By which my balance organ got confused? I can't find any other explanation 😞.
The next weekend there is little wind and we anchor at the Mosselbank with the NoDoubt and the Calanche without the girls. A lazy weekend with chatting and eating.
De eerste week van juni rijdt Toine elke dag naar Nijmegen omdat Harry tijdelijk in het ziekenhuis ligt. Gelukkig kan hij zonder klachten op vrijdagmiddag weer naar huis.
In het weekend gaan we met Marinthe en Sam naar Zierikzee. Eline heeft wat studievereniging activiteiten in Maastricht. We kunnen voor het eerst sinds meer dan een half jaar weer uiteten. Daar maken we flink gebruik van; op vrijdag op het terras bij Sailors Inn en zaterdag binnen bij de Kaoie in Zierikzee 😃😃. Na het eten komen Ellen en Jan even langs; die zijn in de buurt met hun camper. Altijd even vertrouwd en gezellig met hun 😊. Zowel de heen- als terugweg is het heerlijk zeilen met bft 3-4 uit het noord-westen. Ook zeilend lukt het om de F1 te kijken 😎.
The second weekend of June Marinthe is working 3 days at Sailors Inn. Eline joins the sailing party and in the evening we anchor at Stampersplaat with the NoDoubt. The next morning we hear that a good friend (our age) has had a heart attack. What a shock and how nice that the operation went well. We realize that it is important to take care of our lifestyle ☺️.
The last Sunday before we leave for Sweden we drive to Maastricht and have dinner with the girls. They are going their own way the coming weeks and it is still uncertain if we will have holidays together. Who knows, first we go to Sweden for the renovation of the entrance. Then we'll see.
