We went away for a week.
We went to stay with people. That was fun. We usually needed two rooms. But sometimes we could manage with one. We also went to a hotel. We stayed there for one night. But most of the time we sleep with people. There has to be a sign. Otherwise you can't sleep there. But it was fun. Is there still snow? We sit here in the sun every day. I do feel sorry for you. And sometimes I feel homesick. At the hotel you could also go horseback riding. We did that. It was fun. But I did get pain in my bottom. But it was fun. We went horseback riding for two hours. The horses were tame and there was a gentleman along. Sometimes we went at a trot. But we didn't go into a gallop. That's a shame. But we had a nice week. Have you made snowmen? Have fun at home.

Although it is not as warm here as it is here with you, there is no more snow! Spring has just begun and we are outside again for the first time in months. So now we can slowly get as tanned as you!

How are you? I'm fine. I got a good report card. We had a nice celebration, we sang summer in our heads from children for children (www.kinderkaraoke.nl). Lisa also visited us yesterday, she is now at the Westerwel. She finishes school early on Wednesdays. Gijs and I were the only ones to get good grades in history. During hockey training it was very cold and there were large hailstones. It is springtime but we don't notice it at the moment. There hasn't been snow for a long time, it's more like autumn. You must be warm in the sun. In June I'm going to the sun for a week, to Turkey for a holiday. A while ago we had a lesson at school about the zonko family in Africa, two men explained how they live. We also made african music with 5 different instruments.
Because of the weather, I have had a very bad cold: very snotty and coughing terribly, but that is also because of the summer time. Kyra has had a keyhole surgery on her heart in the hospital, she will come to the Easter brunch at school today. Yesterday more than thousand sandwiches were brought by the "sandwich man", as we called him. Alex had his birthday on March 13 and Lars on the 31st, with the party of Alex we went swimming. In the pool was a very nice waterslide. With the birthday of Lars we went to the bowling alley, unfortunately I became second last (I had 180 points, as much as Lars), even though I had practiced with daddy's birthday. Alex was first and was very happy. We have five days off because it is Easter, we go back to school on Wednesday ;-). At school we are preparing our speech, do you have to? I'm doing it about the battery cage. In my report I have nice pictures of very sweet little chicks. Yente is doing it about pigs. With maths I have to do the normal and plus tasks, otherwise I get bored. Marinthe I still have you hanging on the wall, so I can't forget you and can look at you once in a while. Meike discovered a really good paper airplane that can fly very far. We had another football picture contest at albert heijn and at school we exchanged a lot of pictures so we had a lot of fun. I have two full books and a whole box left. At school we write with fountain pen, but this letter of two A4 I wrote yesterday evening with pencil. It was also a long time ago that I wrote to you.
